In September 2026, we completed a bulk custom mascot bobblehead project featuring Arctos, a friendly polar bear hockey mascot.
The customer provided a clear AI-generated concept showing the mascot from both the front and back. The design featured a smiling polar bear wearing a dark hockey uniform with teal and white accents, ice skates, hockey gloves, and a hockey stick.
The detailed reference artwork gave our sculptors a clear understanding of the intended appearance, making the design development process straightforward and efficient.
Step 1: Handmade Sculpting from AI Reference Artwork
Our sculptors began by carefully studying the customer’s AI-generated mascot design.
The polar bear’s oversized head was sculpted separately, with attention to its rounded ears, expressive eyes, smiling face, and detailed fur texture.
The body was also sculpted by hand, recreating the hockey uniform, protective gloves, shorts, skates, and hockey stick.
We developed the body sculpture from both front and rear perspectives to ensure the overall proportions and pose matched the reference design.
Even when a customer provides detailed digital artwork, skilled handmade sculpting is essential to translate a two-dimensional design into a three-dimensional physical model.
Step 2: Customer Approval, Silicone Mold Making & Resin Casting
After completing the handmade clay sculptures, we presented the sculpted models for customer review and approval.
Once the designs were approved, our team created silicone molds based on the original sculptures.
Using these molds, we cast the first figurine components in resin, preserving the character’s distinctive shapes and sculpted details.
This process allows us to reproduce the same custom mascot design consistently, making it suitable for bulk figurine manufacturing.
The resin components were then prepared for assembly, painting, and finishing.
Step 3: Hand Painting & Finished Sample Approval
Our artists carefully hand-painted the first resin mascot figurine, following the customer’s original design.
The finished Arctos mascot featured cream-colored fur, expressive black eyes, a navy hockey uniform with teal and white accents, black gloves, ice skates, and a hockey stick.
Special attention was given to the team branding, including the geometric polar bear emblem, the name “ARCTOS,” and the number “26” on the uniform.
The completed sample was photographed from the front, side, and back to show the finished details and overall appearance.
After the finished sample was approved, the project moved forward to bulk production.
Step 4: Bulk Production of Custom Hockey Mascot Bobbleheads
With the finished sample confirmed, we proceeded with bulk reproduction.
Producing multiple identical mascot figurines requires careful control of sculpted details, resin casting, hand painting, and final assembly.
The completed Arctos bobbleheads demonstrate consistent facial expressions, uniform colors, hockey equipment, and branding across the finished collection.
The customer was very satisfied with the completed project, and the clear original artwork helped make the overall production process smooth.
